Cambridge One is small professional training and consultancy company based in Cambridge, UK, led by me, Dennis Luckett. After 18 years working for major companies such as Tesco, the Burton Group, Arcadia and latterly BT, I decided that you only live once and I wanted to run my own company.

I've held a wide variety of commercial, technical, operational and general business management roles. I spent 5 years running the BT programme for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, including an 18 month secondment into the London Bid itself. In terms of experience, the Olympics is one of the most complex commercial environments globally.

I've probably negotiated over a hundred deals so far, ranging from small commodity contracts through to complex, £100m+ partnerships. My first major procurement activity came when I managed the Tesco Year 2000 Programme in 1996.

I've also run executive education programmes at some of the world's best universities and in 2003 was honoured to be invited to become a Visiting Industrial Fellow at the University of Cambridge in the UK.
