Negotiation Skills for Lawyers

This course is an additional half day supplement to the foundation course. It is specifically designed for in-house and external counsel who are asked to support or lead commercial negotiations.

Ideally it runs in the afternoon following the second half of the foundation course in the morning but the timing can be adapted to suit your organisation. It is not a legal course; it is a business course covering:

  • educating the team on how to interact with you, each other and 3rd parties (including document marking / privilege etc)
  • 'commercial' vs. 'contractual' vs. 'legal' vs. 'corporate governance'
  • your role in the team
  • advice and why it gets lost, ignored or disagreed with
  • real life examples of when things go wrong

The course can accommodate up to 10 people although group numbers are normally smaller given the specialist nature of the course.

The price of the course is £950 (ex VAT and travel). Please note that's the total cost, not a cost per delegate!
